Trauma-Based Mind Control (TBMC) is repetitive trauma a person endures that causes him or her to be submissive to another in thoughts, will, emotions, and choices.
We know that internal tension (cognitive dissonance) is created whenever we encounter a new, difficult reality that does not fit our former paradigm for understanding the world. In the case of Trauma-Based Mind Control, it’s common to experience a sense of fascination about the sensationalistic aspects, while at the same time desperately hoping it’s not true. One’s view of the world changes dramatically when one accepts the possibility that organized groups of people engage in the systematic torture of children and adults. How can anyone feel safe in that kind of world?
Many of us grew up with a worldview that includes a sovereign God who allows his creatures to make meaningful free-will choices, so we are somewhat comfortable with the concept that there are evil spiritual beings who are in rebellion against God. Somehow, that’s easier for us to accept than the notion that people would intentionally do horrible things to control other people, especially innocent little children.
We acknowledge the difficulty of your dilemma if you are still struggling to accept the reality of TBMC and other forms of willful control over others. We wish it weren’t true, too. Still, we see survivors of such programs every day in our clinical practice, and there are far more dear folks in need of help than we could ever possibly reach. As you know, this is why we began creating our educational courses in the first place!
